 UN estimates the number of hungry people in the world to be between 720 and 811 million.  

Afghanistan

Afghanistan has one of the most high rate of food insecurity in the world. At least 37.7 million of its 40.9 million human beings - 93% - do not have enough food. 
23 million Afghans are managing acute hunger, with nearly 9 million live on the brink of starvation.
