The declining population of the world's Christians is worrying

Faith: The most important reason for the persecution of Christians.

A new report by Open Doors warns that the Christian population is in serious danger of declining due to persecution in some parts of the world.

According to the report, the most common causes of displacement for persecuted Christians are the family, local and national government officials, the local community, and then extremist religious groups, respectively.

"It is widely reported that people who have converted to Christianity have been rejected by their families or threatened with death, and under severe pressure to flee, this is their only option," the report said. In some cases, two or three main causes of harassment affect each other.

The report cites Iraq as an example, where the Christian population has shrunk from one million to 166,000.

The main problem is that even if they migrate elsewhere, their persecution continues. According to the report, Christians are often confined to camps and forced to live in isolation or secrecy.

"The findings of this report are a vital challenge for anyone trying to help displaced Christians," said Eva Brown, senior research analyst for Open Doors. "Unless they truly understand the 'factor of faith' in these massive displaced people, they will never be able to take a fundamental step in protecting them."
