From today, Wednesday, October 20, 2021, Yemen will receive more food, health and medical aids.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) says humanitarian aid will increase on Yemen's west coast, where the continuing conflict has exacerbated the needs of displaced communities.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Wednesday added that the organization's humanitarian assistance is primarily focused on the two provinces of Taiz and Hodeidah. In these two provinces, active fronts continue to destabilize and force families to flee.
According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), since 2017, when mass displacement began in the region, tens of thousands of people have struggled to survive in inaccessible areas with limited public services and humanitarian assistance.
More than 17,000 displaced families are currently living in more than 140 camps in Yemen, while ongoing clashes continue. Recently, clashes in the Al-Tahita area in eastern Yemen have displaced more than 200 families and displaced them to the West.
The International Organization for Migration is one of the few human rights organizations active in Yemen to provide vital assistance to 13 refugee camps in Yemen, including shelter, sanitation, sanitation, cash and essential items for thousands of families in need.
