Many Kenyan churches have banned candidates from speaking at church as elections approach.
The Anglican, Roman Catholic, and Kenyan Protestant Churches prevent politicians from entering churches because they believe that they intend to divert the church from its original path by using it politically.
Only the Methodist Church is open to all.
"The leader of the Kenyan Methodist Church has been quoted as saying by NRS:
"The church is for all people." "People are political, so there is nothing wrong with inviting politicians to the church."
According to the bishop, the congregation should listen to politicians' views on issues of national interest, such as resource sharing. In the past, according to Netumbura, the church has invited other experts to talk to congregations about important issues, and politicians are no different.
"Some politicians are our priests," Netumbura said.
