Nigeria is getting worse under the shadow of terrorism

The spread of terrorist activities in Nigeria and the growth of the Boko Haram terrorist group is a serious alarm against the security of this country.

According to Reuters, a local government official and the Niger State Media Committee in north-central Nigeria said Boko Haram elements had taken control of several towns in the state, paid villagers and integrated them into their ranks to fight the government, according to Reuters.  .
Boko Haram is usually concentrated in the northeastern most populous country in Africa, and its presence in Niger, which borders the federal capital, could signal the group's alarming expansion at a time when the military is announcing the success of its counter-insurgency efforts.
Boko Haram elements are currently present in at least eight of the 25 cities, said Suleiman Chokuba, head of the local government in the Shiruru area of   Niger State on the border with Abuja.
"The local government of Shirru has countless terrorist elements from Boko Haram," Chukuba said.
