More than 2 million people have been displaced in Nigeria due to the ongoing conflict.
More than 2 million people in Nigeria have been forced to flee their homes due to the conflict, said Samuel Isupi, president of the Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS).
"Violence in northeastern Nigeria is worrying," she said.
He said tens of thousands of people had been killed in the conflict in Nigeria, adding that more than 2 million people had been displaced.
"More than 3 million people in Nigeria are suffering from food insecurity and hundreds of thousands of children are malnourished," he said. .
It is worth mentioning that Boko Haram declared its existence in 2000 and has killed more than 20,000 people since 2009 through acts of violence.
The terrorist group has been carrying out terrorist acts in Cameroon, Benin, Chad, Niger and Nigeria since 2015. At least 2,000 people have been killed in the group's attacks on Lake Chad.
