Thousands of people need help.
According to official statistics, at least 1,136 people have been killed in floods since the beginning of the monsoon season in June. This summer's rain is reported to be the heaviest in the last decade.
Mrs. Rahman told AFP that a third of the country is practically under water. Among the dead, 75 people died in the last 24 hours and the death toll is expected to rise.
Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilal Bhutto Zardari told the BBC that one-third of the dead were children and added: "We are still assessing the extent of the damage."
According to official estimates, more than 33 million Pakistanis have been affected by this flood.
Local authorities have ordered thousands of people living in the mountainous area to evacuate, but even with the help of helicopters, some people are trapped in this area.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said: "Village after village has been wiped out and millions of houses have been destroyed."
Those who managed to escape from the flood have been accommodated in temporary camps in different parts of the country.
