The persecution of Christians is intensifying day by day.
The Lahore High Court in Pakistan recently upheld the death sentences of two Christian brothers for blasphemy. The brothers were arrested in 2011 on charges of publishing offensive content on the Internet. The two brothers were convicted in December 2018, and the appeals court upheld their death sentences on June 8.
Christian Beliefs Despite the fact that there is no evidence that they are responsible for the website, according to lawyers for the European Court of Justice (ECLJ) advocating for Christians. Anyone can create a website. The organization's cybercrime department also said no information had been found about the author of the blog.
One of the brothers believes that some of his Muslim friends created this website. According to him, just before the blog was published, the two brothers were involved with their Muslim friends. They may have created the website with Christian contact information in retaliation. Despite the lack of evidence, a Pakistani court sentenced the brothers to death.
The unjust persecution of Christians through the blasphemy laws of Pakistan is increasing day by day. Defendants face the penalty of imprisonment and execution without any evidence or fair trial. However, the legal battle for the two Christian brothers is not over. (ECLJ) is preparing to appeal the case to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
