Slavery was declared free in Afghanistan

Slavery was declared free in Afghanistan

Following the rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan, the terrorist group declared slavery free in Afghanistan yesterday.

The Taliban Islamic State, which has officially taken power in Afghanistan in recent months and has enforced human rights abuses in the country since its inception, has officially legalized slavery in the country.

The Taliban have openly legalized slavery, saying that buying and selling women and girls of any age, subject to the approval of Sunni religious authorities, is not prohibited and is legal.

In the past, many women were barred from working in universities and government centers by Taliban Islamic law.

Compulsory hijab, restrictions on women's education, restrictions on women's employment, and finally the sale of women as slaves, openly show that the Taliban's reactionary and corrupt system views women as a commodity and gives women no rights in the country.

The silence of international institutions is not only to the detriment of the Afghan people, but also threatens freedom and health around the world.
