Sudan's Civil War: A Hundred Days of Conflict

Thousands of People Have Been Victims and Displaced.

Despite the efforts of regional and global powers to broker a peace deal, the conflict in Sudan rages on, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.

According to the reputable Reuters news agency, the power struggle between the army and the notorious "Rapid Support Forces" has displaced over 3 million people, with more than 700,000 fleeing to neighboring countries. The death toll, as reported by Sudan's Ministry of Health, stands at nearly 1,200, but the authorities fear that the actual number is much higher.

Despite the army's superior firepower, they have been unable to claim victory against the Rapid Support Forces, who hold sway over Khartoum. The once-thriving city now lies in ruins, and the conflict has spread to the west, engulfing more innocent lives in its flames.

Recent days have seen the Rapid Support Forces move into villages south of Khartoum, following airstrikes by the Sudanese army. Witnesses report that clashes have continued in residential areas of Nyala, one of Sudan's largest cities and the capital of South Darfur, since Thursday. Medical sources confirm that at least 20 people have lost their lives, and the United Nations estimates that 5,000 families have been displaced.

As the war rages on, hope for a peaceful resolution dwindles, and the people of Sudan continue to suffer the consequences of this senseless conflict.
