The deteriorating economic situation in East Sudan has also exacerbated the crisis among the ruling factions in the country.

The unsettled economic situation in eastern Sudan, which has also exacerbated the crisis among the ruling factions in the country, has intensified in recent weeks, with the region paralyzed for nearly a month.

 The deteriorating economic situation in East Sudan is such that the government has sounded the alarm about the serious shortcomings of the crisis;  According to residents of East Sudan, the price of bread in this region has increased 7 times and each unit sells for 35 pounds (Sudan).

Last week, the United States, Britain and Norway issued a joint statement strongly supporting the Sudanese government's efforts to curb ongoing protests in the east of the country.


On September 20, Sudan witnessed a failed coup in which, according to government sources, 40 army officers accused of involvement in the coup were arrested.
 According to the ruling government, a coup group intended to take control of the situation in the country.  The coup that the generals are trying to blame for the civilian government.
 The crisis in Sudan is political but its economic consequences are catastrophic.
