Threatening Christian converts from Islamists.
According to the Morning Star, after a group of Muslims believed in Christ, a number of extremist Islamists attacked a church, destroyed it and killed one of the converts.
According to the report of this news agency, last week an evangelical church located in Rumouriro, Kibuga district in Uganda was attacked by radical Islamists, as a result of which a Christian convert named Robert Bunja was killed and the church destroyed.
According to the reports obtained from the residents of the region, last week after a debate between Muslims and the pastor of the church, a group of Muslims gave their heart to Christ. Mugisha, the assistant pastor of the church, stated that after the debate ended, eight Muslims, including two women, believed in Christ. This event aroused the anger of the Islamists and on the same day the church was attacked by the Islamists.
According to the assistant pastor of the church, a few days before this incident, they were threatened with death by Islamists for trying to convert Muslims.
In his interview with the Morning Star, Mugisha stated that the Muslim residents of the village attacked the church that evening, entered the church with the Quran in their hands, burned the Bible and the other books . They then attack him and Robert, beating them to death, resulting in Robert's death from his injuries.
Attacks on missionaries and Christian converts have become a common phenomenon in Uganda. Christians make up a large percentage of Uganda's population, but they are constantly persecuted due to the extremist activities of Islamic groups.
Islamists are very sensitive about Muslims becoming Christians, so they have always threatened Christian converts with death.
According to Open Doors, Christians in eastern Uganda, especially those with Islamic backgrounds, face intense persecution from Muslims, so that many Christians have been attacked and killed by radical Islamists in recent years.
