300,000 Syrians are exposed to water shortages.
Just days after the start of the new year, an airstrike on a water facility in the northern Syrian city of Idlib plunged more than 300,000 people into a severe drought crisis.
According to the Daily Sabah, the airstrikes by the Russian forces not only killed several people, but also severely damaged the water resources of the area, so that its residents faced severe water shortages at the beginning of the new year.
According to the Anadolu Agency, the target of the attack was specifically the facilities and biological infrastructure of the city of Idlib.
UNICEF also reported that two children were killed and at least five others were injured in the attack.
