Due to insecurity in Haiti, fuel trucks do not reach hospitals in the country.
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) warns that patients' lives are in danger due to fuel shortages at some of Haiti's main hospitals.
Fuel supplies have been disrupted for weeks as truck drivers do not dare to cross roads controlled by gang groups plotting to extort money.
Also, the roadblocks set up by the protesters to protest the insecurity have made fuel delivery more difficult.
UNICEF has said that due to frequent power outages, most Haitian hospitals use fuel generators to keep patients alive, so providing them with fuel is vital.
The agency estimates that 300 children, 45 women and 150 patients with Covid-19 are at risk of death if the fuel is not supplied by tomorrow, Tuesday, October 26.
