CCP publishes a new translation
The Chinese Communist Party has announced that it intends to update the Bible. These revisions include adding "basic socialist values" and removing sections that do not reflect communist beliefs. The Chinese government announced the project in 2019. This new translation is to be adapted to socialist and Confucian beliefs.
Last year, an example of these changes was published in a high school textbook. In the textbook, the party education system has changed several verses from John 8. As the Bible tells us, Jesus forgives a woman despite the Pharisees' invitation to stone her according to the law of Moses. However, in this translation the story has changed, and according to this translation, Christ is stoning the woman, And Jesus confessed, "I am also a sinner." In fact, this translation is supposed to ignore the divinity of Jesus Christ.
Churches seem to be in greater need of Bible importing from abroad, following recent attempts by the Chinese Communist government to restrict Christian religious freedom.
For decades, the Chinese Communist Party has been trying to gain more control over the people every day, so they are trying to make the people better servants of the Chinese Communist Party. They know very well the true nature of Christ's message takes control out of the Communist Party.
Religious freedom groups have recently called on Christians around the world to boycott the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics over Chinese harassment of Christians and other religious minorities.
