Greek forces announced on Sunday that they have rescued more than one hundred and twenty migrants who were stuck in the waters of the island of Rhodes.
According to reports, 122 migrants who left Turkey on Saturday for Greece got stuck in the coastal waters of Rhodes Island yesterday due to a malfunction in the ship and were rescued by the Greek border forces.
The Greek Coast Guard has transferred these migrants to the Greek coast.
According to statistics, the efforts of immigrants to reach Greece from Turkey are increasing.
Earlier, the Greek Coast Guard announced that on June 29 this year, it rescued 172 migrants from the Carpathian waters of the Aegean Sea and transferred them to the shores of Greece.
The Greek authorities have announced the arrival of 1130 migrants in the country's waters in just three days.
According to the Greek Ministry of Immigration, the number of migrants who tried to reach Greece from Turkey has increased by 30% in the first four months of this year.
