Unprecedented increase in demand for the Bible.
Last week, news agencies released a shocking video in which Ukrainian Christians and Jews gathered to pray Psalm 31 for the difficult days ahead.
Anatoly Raychynets, Deputy Secretary General of the Ukrainian Bible Association, in an interview with Robert L. Briggs, president and CEO of the American Bible Society, said priests have flocked to the Bible Society's store in Kyiv in recent weeks to buy Bibles.
According to reports, the store's Bibles are sold out. Raychynets told Briggs that their biggest challenge is getting enough copies of the Bible to meet the sheer volume of demand.
Robert L. Briggs, in an article published at Thursday by the Christian Today Agency, explained how Ukrainian Christians react to the Russian crisis with their Christian faith.
"To me it's like a miracle that Psalm 31 is still alive and working today after thousand years" Raychynets said.
According to him, for many today, the experience and encounter with the Bible is a new event, and it shows how God touches our hearts in the midst of suffering. He finally called on the Christian community to pray for peace among nations.
