Archery in Norway; At least five people were killed.
A Norwegian man shot and killed at least five people and wounded two others Wednesday evening, October 13, in the town of Kungsber, 80 km from the capital Oslo. Norwegian police say the attacker targeted people and passers-by with arrows in the city center.
Norwegian police added that the man had been arrested and, according to information received so far, had no complicity. Local media say a fight broke out between him and police before he was arrested.
The assailant reportedly started targeting people inside a Coup Extra store in the city, and police took action minutes later.
Norwegian media reported that the assailant was carrying a knife and several other weapons. No further details have been released.
Norwegian television has published a photo showing a black arrow embedded in the wall at the scene. At least four people were killed in the attack, according to local media. Several injured people have been hospitalized, however, their number and names have not been announced yet.
